MEET THE QUEEN:

Leading by example, I am very involved in my community. At our local church, I am a table leader for “Moms Together” – a monthly event where moms of young children meet, hear a speaker on a topic related to motherhood and/or marriage,  and have social interaction and discussions with other moms! I also occasionally volunteer as a worship leader by singing in the worship band on Sunday mornings, and I am part of a Couple’s Care Group that meets bi-weekly and facilitates healthy, Christ-centered marriages.

As Mrs. Illinois-America, I have also been able to further expand my reach to those in need by continuing my long-standing relationships with various organizations and community groups. I have volunteered, raised money for, donated to, and/or had speaking engagements with organizations such as Compassion International, United Way, Rotary, Children’s Miracle Network, the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Little Angels Nursing Home for children with disabilities, Chicago’s Gateway Green, animal conservation through Shedd Aquarium, and more! As Mrs. Geneva, I collected and sent over $1500 of supplies to moms in Houston for Hurricane Harvey relief and I collected and sent over 40lbs of leftover Halloween candy to our troops through Operation Gratitude! Most recently, I helped emcee an event for CASA Kane County, will volunteer at an all women build event for Habitat for Humanity, and am organizing a 5k Fun Run event to raise funds for the Victoria Siegel Foundation, also known as “Victoria’s Voice.” I truly believe that there is no wrong way to help someone, and feel completely blessed to have so many ways to give.

Although I may seem like a “textbook beauty queen,” you may be surprised to know that I am originally from a town of around 500 people and grew up on a farm where we had horses, raised cows, and rode quads and dirt bikes. In fact, I have my motorcycle license, passed the ABATE motorcycle safety course, have owned 3 motorcycles, and am a record-holding athlete! I am also a very adventurous person and have traveled to over 15 countries, lived in 3 different countries and 6 different states, and have been skydiving, white water rafting, and rode in a hot air balloon. Due to my extensive travel and living abroad, I am also fluent in Spanish and graduated Magna Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Ball State University! Finally, I am a published writer, video blogger, and website designer and have had my articles published on Yahoo, Galtime, and even Forbes.com, among other websites on topics surrounding the beauty, fashion, and pageant industries.

Actually, if I look familiar that’s probably because I’ve been in this position before… I was privileged enough to win Mrs. Illinois-America in 2014 and represent my state at Mrs. America that year. I had a wonderful experience at Mrs. America and throughout the year, so, when they changed the rules so that “formers” could compete again, I decided to go for it! I have never given up on my dream to be Mrs. America and neither should you! I really encourage any married woman to at least think about competing within their state through the Mrs. America pageant; Trust me, you will be shocked at how much you can personally learn and grow through competing and how many meaningful relationships, connections, and lasting friendships you will make. Give it a try!

Personally, I am not afraid of a challenge, I enjoy learning and growing through every experience, and I look forward to life’s endless adventures. But, most importantly, I give all the glory to God through whom all things are possible, and I am so grateful for the many blessings He has given me that allows me to be the person that I am today.

Thank you to all of those who have supported me through this journey - God bless you all.

Hello! I’m Nicole (Rash) Cook – Mrs. Illinois-America 2018 and now Mrs. America 2019! I am a child of God, the lucky wife of Grant Cook (a successful mechanical engineer and talented musician), and devoted mother of two amazing boys, Carter & Cooper, and one 7lb Pomeranian named Foxy Roxy. Life is a wonderful blessing for our family and we enjoy traveling, performing, being active, and spending time with our loved ones.

I am a very efficient “domestic engineer” and my boys keep me busy, but I still like to use my God given gifts and talents to enrich the lives of others. So, I started the online blog “Model Moms Club” which is a forum for helping others strive to be good role models for their family, children, and community by providing helpful information, videos, tutorials, money saving coupons, and information about community events (www.modelmomsclub.com). Our motto is, “You don’t have to be a model, to be a good role model,” because though we do focus on health, wellness, and taking care of yourself so you can better care for others, it’s not just about how you look but about the relationships you form and how you treat others. Mostly, I just want to foster a culture of women helping, supporting, and loving on other women. I would like nothing more than for Model Moms Club to turn into a global brand and network of ‘boss’ women that work together to truly make the world a better place.
